June 2007
The aircraft has just completed nearly $100K worth of work performed by Mohawk Support. Everything is current. The aircraft is currently certified and flying.
Prior History:
This aircraft was built as a 1968, deliveried in 09/69, and converted to a “D” model 9/80 and decommissioned from Army 11/91. It was then sent to Grumman ( Stewart , FL ) in 2/92 for a complete IRAN Level 1 including zero time engines as it was to be sent to Israel on a State Dept program. Program was cancelled and the aircraft was hangared at Ft Eustis until 8/96 when it was acquired by Ropkey Armor Museum . It was sold in 6/01. The then new owner sent the a/c to Pride Aircraft, Rockford for IRAN Level 3 (all time dated parts IRAN ’d) and cockpit refurbish to include avionics, seats (cold), engines scoped, new battery, rework of electronics, air conditioning, gyros, etc. It was then sent to Anoka Air Museum to trim engines and flight controls. It has remained hangared since that time. The aircraft so sold in the Spring of 2007 to the current owner. |
